This process will reset your Chromebook hardware and could fix hardware issues you may be experiencing (keyboard, touchpad, sound, WiFi, etc.). 

Follow these steps:

  1. Plug-in Chromebook and leave on the charger for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Unplug your Chromebook.
  3. Press and hold Refresh(above the 4 key) + tap Powerbutton.
  4. When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh
  5. If the Chromebook does not turn on, plug in your Chromebook, and press the Powerbutton again.
